Keycapsule is an online store selling keyboard keys, more commonly known as keycaps. The principle is simple: several times a year, a uniquely designed capsule is released in a limited edition. Only 200 capsules are available; it's up to you to seize the opportunity to acquire an extraordinary collection.

With Keycapsule, we have chosen to offer you a unique product. This decision is in line with the values of this project. We offer keycaps that cannot be found elsewhere, whose visual identity is the result of a personal vision. With Keycapsule, we want to offer you an immersive journey into a fully assumed artistic universe with only our graphic, cinematographic or musical references as inspiration. Furthermore, we appreciate the idea that a unique object can be created from our products. This is why the decision to offer "flash" releases, which do not last over time, was imposed on us. Our products are made of 100% high-quality PBT, with letters that do not fade over time and equipped with classic ergonomics, with Azerty FR and Qwerty US layouts supported by your choice. The visual aspect of our products is not the only parameter we take into account: we are attentive to the comfort and inclusiveness of choices in the process of creating our capsules.

At Keycapsule, our materials are made of high-quality PBT plastic with a thickness of 1.5mm. PBT is polyethylene terephthalate, a rarer and more durable, and therefore more expensive, plastic from the polyester family. This choice was made to offer you keycaps that are more durable over time.

We design a capsule ourselves, using Illustrator. We then finalize the creation and determine the number of buttons needed for each collection (based on the novelties and accents). Shortly after, we send our work to our manufacturer to receive a prototype. If it's approved, we begin production.

Yes, Keycapsule products are original creations. They are the result of our current inspirations. Any similarity to another product is purely coincidental, and if there is a product with an identical design on the market, it is a copy.

To use your keycaps, let's get hands-on! First, check that your keyboard is compatible with MX switches and the format you're looking for (Azerty FR and Qwerty US layouts). Then, prepare your tools: you'll need a keycap puller (included in the capsule), a keycap extractor, to remove the keys on your keyboard without damaging the switches. Once this first step is complete, simply slide the puller onto each keycap and pull it out. Don't forget to keep your keys if you want to use them again one day. Install your keycaps on the corresponding switches and press gently until you hear a small "click". Finally, you can test your new keyboard to make sure everything works properly: that's it, your keyboard is customized with Keycapsule keys!

This is a very conscious decision: we like the idea that each capsule is unique and connected to a particular universe, that it tells us a story, like these collections of keyboards that we ourselves own, being enthusiasts ourselves. It is also a way to challenge ourselves creatively in the design of objects that we love very much.
